Hi, I'm Tristen (any/all), and I'm a senior in the chemistry department! I studied abroad in spring of 2024 during my junior year and completed my independent work while abroad at the University of Melbourne in Melbourne, Australia. I absolutely loved my study abroad, and I got to do so many things while in Australia! In addition to taking in the sights around the city of Melbourne, I traveled to Cairns to go snorkeling in the Great Barrier Reef, took several trips down the coast to Philip Island to watch penguin parades, and traveled for a week in New Zealand on my semester break. My classes at UniMelb fulfilled an EM requirement and a departmental elective for my chemistry degree, and I really enjoyed the increased independence over my learning process that I got from studying there. I lived in International House with international students from all over the globe and I loved it. Melbourne has my heart, and I hope that wherever you study abroad will captivate your heart, too!
