Bio/Description

Major: Molecular Biology
College: Rockefeller
International Experience: Royal College of Music
Location: London, United Kingdom

I’m currently a junior in the Molecular Biology (MOL) department and pursuing a minor in music performance (violin). I’m originally from Marlboro, New Jersey. I studied abroad at the Royal College of Music (RCM) in London during the autumn term of 2024. While studying at RCM, I took 1-on-1 lessons for violin, courses on music history and different musical techniques, and played in numerous performances with orchestras and in smaller group ensembles. I also took a class on Zoom back at Princeton to fulfill requirements for fall junior independent work. Throughout the semester, in addition to my musical work, I was able to explore London’s diverse neighborhoods as well as venture out into other English counties such as Kent and Shopshire. At the RCM, I met musicians from all over the world, and the experience not only exposed me to diverse European cultures but also allowed me to make lifelong connections. Because I was at a conservatoire, my academic experience abroad was unique, but I found it to be incredibly rich and a valuable deep dive into a lifelong passion of mine.
