Hi, I’m Tevin. I am a senior in the Economics Department pursuing a certificate in Political Economy and minor in Theatre and Musical Theatre. I am originally from Kenya and I studied abroad in Bocconi in Milan.
During my time at Bocconi, I took four courses - two economics courses and one politics course to satisfy my Princeton requirements, and an entrepreneurship course - as well as an Italian language course. I really enjoyed the hands-on approach Bocconi takes to learning, which aligns closely with industry practice and what I would likely encounter in the workplace. The courses were dynamic and interactive, often incorporating real-world applications that deepened my understanding of economic and political frameworks.
Beyond academics, I loved being in a new environment and making new friends. Bocconi’s highly international campus made it easy to meet students from all over the world, and I enjoyed exchanging ideas and learning about different perspectives. I also took full advantage of being in Europe, traveling to various countries and immersing myself in the rich history and culture, particularly in Italy. Visiting historic sites, exploring different cities, and experiencing local traditions were some of the highlights of my semester.
In addition to my semester abroad, I previously participated in a Princeton Global Seminar in Kenya.
