Steve Gump

Associate Director, Fellowship Advising

Steve Gump, Associate Director of Fellowship Advising, serves as the first point of contact for students or alumni interested in applying for the Critical Language Scholarship, Gaither Junior Fellowship, Ito Scholarship, Luce Scholars Program, and Fulbright U.S. Student Program. He supports undergraduates of all class years who are interested in learning more about fellowships. Originally from Kentucky, Steve came to Princeton in 2017 after having spent portions of the last three decades studying or working in New York, Japan, Wales, Illinois, and Iowa. He holds degrees in Asian studies and religious studies (B.A., Cornell University); business administration (M.B.A., University of Wales, as a Rotary Ambassadorial Fellow); East Asian studies (M.A., University of Illinois); and educational organization and leadership (Ph.D., University of Illinois). If you want to see Steve really excited, ask him about any of the following: Baroque opera, British cheese, Japanese pilgrimage, or his favorite typeface.
