I am an ORFE senior from Dallas, TX with certificates in Sustainable Energy, History and the Practice of Diplomacy, and Finance. As a pre-law student, I was able to explore my interests in sustainable development through coursework in law and economics at the University of Oxford's Worcester College. One striking difference between Princeton and Oxford is the tutorial system. By engaging with the material and writing an essay in advance, my weekly one-on-one with the professor felt less daunting and more exciting; as the term progressed, our conversations moved from basic discussions about course concepts to higher level applications and related issues. I took Environmental Economics, Economics of Developing Countries, Environmental Law, and Money & Banking, most of which counted towards either a certificate or department requirement. Beyond academics, I enjoyed participating in student societies such as the Oxford Sustainable Finance Student Society and the Oxford Union, and I found community with my kitchen-mates and other Worcester students. On the weekends and during term break, I had the opportunity to travel to Egypt, Sweden, Switzerland, and Scotland, along with many day trips to London. Studying abroad allowed me to further develop my existing interests and exposed me to new opportunities and activities as well.

Student organization(s) I'm a part of at Princeton:
Princeton Mock Trial, Whig-Cliosophic Society, and Orange Key
