Rebecca Graves-Bayazitoglu joined the Office of International Programs in July 2019. As Senior Associate Dean, she oversees and supports the work of all OIP programs, and represents the office across the University and beyond its borders. As an undergraduate at Middlebury College, Rebecca studied abroad in France, and returned to the country after graduation as a Fulbright Teaching Assistant. After completing her Ph.D. in French at Princeton, she taught at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and Haverford College. She returned to Princeton, where she served as director of studies at Rockefeller College, and then as founding dean of Whitman College; in both roles, she advised students on all aspects of their Princeton education. In 2016, Rebecca moved to the McGraw Center for Teaching and Learning as its director, working closely with the McGraw Center staff to support inclusive and innovative teaching, and all forms of effective student learning. When she is not in New Jersey, Rebecca enjoys spending time in her hometown of Kennebunk, Maine, or visiting her extended family in Turkey. At home, she can often be found watching her two sons play soccer, taking walks, cooking, and practicing yoga.
