Michael Milam ’20

Major: Physics
College: Rockefeller
International Experience: CUPA / Sorbonne Université
Location: Paris, France

I'm Michael, and I'm a junior from Nashville, Tennessee. As a physics concentrator, I think I would like to go into theory research after Princeton. While on Bridge Year in Salvador, Brazil, I explored a number of questions about religious syncretism and became interested in linguistics and sociolinguistics. In the spring semester of my sophomore year, I lived in Paris and took courses at Sorbonne Université in quantum theory, complex analysis, French literature, and Occitan linguistics. I'm working on a certificate in Russian language, and after my first year at Princeton I spent a summer training language skills in St. Petersburg, Russia. I really enjoy climbing, playing guitar and piano, reading, studying languages, playing capoeira, and editing for the Nassau Weekly.
