Bio/Description

This summer, I worked at Rimac, a luxury car company which is partnered with Bugatti to build state of the art electric hyper-cars which each retail at the steep price of 3 million dollars. The Rimac Nevera holds the speed record for fastest electric car in the world. The cars are state of the art, and are each sold at approximately 2-3 million dollars. The company has many different branches, including Rimac Technology, Buggatti Rimac and Rimac Energy. The Buggatti part only recently branched off as the company continued to expand at a very rapid scale. I was stationed within Rimac Technology, which provides the main software and hardware for the their own Nevera and for third party companies looking to utilize Rimac's innovative engineering. Rimac is in the upper sect of the car industry, and is very highly regarded among car buffs or anyone who is interested in high performance vehicles (F1 or formula E fans alike).

My project centered around designing and coding machine learning based solutions to optimize energy and range efficiency for their batteries. Throughout my internship, I worked on software to build neural networks that predictively control the cabin environment for drivers and passengers, resulting in improvements to the car's range at record top speeds of 250 mph. My work will be featured and published in an EU wide electric automotive research project. In my free time, I travelled to many historic and beautiful coastal towns, and swam in the some of the bluest water I have ever seen!
