This summer, I had the privilege of interning at Hart, an international security firm operating in high-threat, hazardous, and post-conflict locations. In particular, Hart’s Australia branch partners with Five Eyes governments and international media organizations to provide training, operational support, and consultancy globally. I spent most of my time working in the training division, which focuses on the creation of online safety and security training materials. There, I built a Women’s Travel Security course for diplomats and consular support staff deployed to high-risk regions.
In my free time, I completed the Bondi to Manly walk —an 80km multi-day hike across Sydney’s gorgeous coast—, visited Taronga Zoo, and taste-tested lots of Aussie coffee!
