Major: Princeton School of Public and International Affairs
International Experience: Sciences Po
Location: Paris, France
I'm a rising junior in the Woodrow Wilson School and pursuing certificates in Machine Learning and French Language and Culture. I moved to the U.S. when I joined Princeton in 2017 after having spent two years in the United World College of Dilijan, Armenia. I was born and raised in Syria, which is what motivated me to pursue study abroad in France given the deep cultural links between France and the Orient. I had a very challenging semester at Sciences Po, but the amount of personal growth I acquired in one semester is equivalent to that of two years on Princeton's campus. This experience was not only integral to polishing my French academic writing skills and deepening my connection to the francophone world, but it truly shaped the person I am today in ways I am still trying to internalize.
