Hey! My name is Dan and I'm currently a junior in the Computer Science (COS) department with a certificate in cognitive science. I'm originally from Plainsboro, New Jersey, about 10 minutes away from Princeton. I studied abroad at the National University of Singapore (NUS) in the Fall 2023 semester. While there, I had the incredible opportunity to take cutting-edge computer science courses, an English linguistics class, and a Chinese art class. Being in close proximity to other east and southeast Asian countries, I traveled to a myriad of culturally rich and different countries, including: Malaysia, Indonesia, China, Hong Kong, and Japan. It was an incredible opportunity to not just learn about countries on the other side of the world, but also about myself in a more independent scope. I made friends from Singapore, the Netherlands, Germany, France, and even the United States -- lifelong connections I know I otherwise would have never been able to make. In addition to study abroad, I also did an International Internship Program (IIP) through Princeton in Japan during the summer of 2022. On campus, I am actively involved with the Men's Club Volleyball team, and the Asian-American Students Association. In my free time, I enjoy playing the electric guitar, reading, playing video games, listening to music, and hanging out with friends.
