Hi, I'm Arav! I am a senior in the Politics Department pursuing an Entrepreneurship certificate. I am originally from Guyana, South America and I studied abroad in Prague through Academic Experience in Prague (formerly UPCES). Living in Prague allowed me to experience a completely different academic and cultural environment. The program emphasized discussion-based learning, which encouraged me to engage deeply with topics related to Central European history, politics, and economics. One of the most valuable aspects of my time there was immersing myself in the city’s vibrant student communities and connecting with locals. Outside of the classroom, I took advantage of the city’s central location to travel across Europe. Some of my favorite experiences included visiting friends in Madrid, hiking in the Tatra Mountains in Slovakia, and experiencing the Christmas markets in Vienna. Studying in Prague broadened my perspective in so many ways, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a dynamic and enriching study abroad experience!
