Major: English
College: Whitman
International Experience: Princeton English Program
Location: London, UK

I spent the fall semester of my junior year abroad in London. I was one of nine English majors in the Princeton English Program at University College London. The experience that I had was so profound that it is difficult to encapsulate in words. The growth that I experienced was both personal and academic. Being immersed in a very different culture than one I had been familiar with, I had to be incredibly independent and self-motivated in order to make the most of each day. With the academics, I appreciated being exposed to a new style of teaching, learning, and writing because it broadened my perspective on my academic career. Though there were a lot of papers to write and books to read, I was able to learn how to strike a productive balance between work and leisure. Above all, I fell in love with London and can’t wait to make it back there someday!
