Major: Molecular Biology
College: New College West
International Experience: Royal College of Music
Location: London, England

I am a member of the class of 2024 in the Department of Molecular Biology pursuing a certificate in music (viola) performance. On campus, I am a member of the Princeton University Orchestra and Opus, volunteer with Trenton Arts at Princeton, and work at the Mendel Music Library. I spent the fall semester of my junior year (fall 2022) in London at the Royal College of Music. While I was at the RCM, I took private lessons, participated in orchestral and chamber music projects, and was enrolled in courses for aural skills, historical studies, and orchestration. I really enjoyed my time abroad which provided a very welcome change from the science-heavy course load I took in my first two years and helped fulfill many of the requirements for the music certificate. You can often find me at the Lewis Arts Complex rehearsing, practicing, or completing assignments.

I am happy to speak about studying abroad as a pre-med student, and how to plan for a non-STEM program within that framework. I can also discuss how the RCM program specifically fits into the MOL major, the music performance certificate/minor, and PUO.
