Study Abroad Requirements

While Princeton encourages every undergraduate student to participate in a credit-bearing international experience abroad, it is very important to understand the requirements and policies that apply to the different types of study abroad program. In this section, you will be able to familiarize with this information, but please also make the time to meet with a study abroad adviser who can review these requirements and policies with you and answer any questions you might have.

Academic Year Policies

If you plan to study abroad during the academic year, you should familiarize yourself with the policies and requirements in this section.

Summer Policies

Students who choose to study abroad in the summer can earn credit through Princeton faculty-led courses or by taking pre-approved courses at an accredited international institution. Read this page carefully for eligibility details.
