They will take part in rotations at pediatric or women’s health clinics and hospitals in and around Quito, Ecuador’s main city and cultural capital with the option of doing one week in Otavalo, an indigenous town that combines ancestral healing practices with biomedical approaches. The internship will be learning-heavy, with the opportunity to join service-delivery and project-based work only once an intern is fully oriented to the scope of the organization's work.

CIFAL Curitiba is a non-profit organization that develops training programs and promotes technical cooperation that contributes to sustainable development and the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. The training is aimed at representatives and managers from state and municipal governments, managers and leaders from the private sector, academics, leaders of NGOs and community agents in general, who work with local development. IIP Interns will support developing training programs, promoting technical cooperation, contributing to sustainble urban development and the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals (UN MDGs). CityTaps is a social startup based in Paris. The organization’s vision is to help bring running water to every urban home and to boost the health, dignity and productivity of the urban poor in developing countries. CityTaps believes that running water in the home is a source of health, economic opportunity, and dignity, particularly for women and girls who bear the majority of the burden associated with daily water chores. IIP interns will have an opportunity to work in a technical capacity to assist the team to find effective solutions to provide safe, convenient, reliable, and affordable water access to low-income homes across the developing world.

CJ ENM is a South Korean entertainment and mass media company established by CJ Group. CJ ENM engages in a wide array of businesses across the entire arts and entertainment industry spectrum, including TV shows, music, film, performing arts, and animation. IIP intern responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting ongoing projects in several teams such as global marketing, performance programming, and overseas sales, depending on their skillset.

Cloud Mountain AGG is an e-commerce services provider and digital marketing and content production company focused on helping overseas brands launch and grow their online business in China. The company conducts all e-commerce operations on behalf of brands as well as creating digital marketing content and managing social media accounts to build brand awareness and consumer interaction. IIP interns will get exposure to as much of the China e-commerce and digital marketing landscape as possible.

Coast General Provincial hospital is the second largest public hospital in Kenya. The facility serves a primary population of over a million people. IIP interns placed in General Outpatient, Pediatric and Internal Medicine departments will have the opportunity to shadow doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, and interact with patients to learn how the patient perspectives influence the delivery of health services. This placement is offered in collaboration with Elective Africa.

The objective of the Complexity Science Hub Vienna is to host, educate, and inspire complex systems scientists who are dedicated to collect, handle, aggregate, and make sense of big data in ways that are directly valuable for science and society. Focus areas include smart cities, innovation dynamics, medical, social, ecological, and economic systems. The IIP intern will contribute to current projects at the Hub.

Computer Literacy Program (CLP), undertook an initiative to introduce tools of digital education in rural Bangladesh in 2004. The mission is to empower the underprivileged youths in Bangladesh through computer literacy and technology-enhanced education. IIP interns will assist the local team on programs driven by community needs including but not limited to providing computer literacy training, teaching technology- aided education, participation in various primary health care services to the  villagers.

Corporate Editions was created by members of the language faculty and international alumni of France’s Ecole Nationale d’Administration (ENA). Corporate Editions provides translation services in a variety of languages including but not limited to French, Spanish, English, German, and Italian. Corporate Editions works with a wide range of organizations, from luxury fashion, jewelry, and cosmetics brands to educational institutions such as the ENA, as well as hotels and travel companies. IIP interns will prepare and translate documents from French to English and proofread in English, and work on other communications projects including advertisement materials, press releases, and other business documents. Advanced French language is required for this internship.

The Costa Rican Animal Rescue Center is dedicated to protecting and helping endangered Costa Rican wildlife, and providing education about animal welfare and sustainably living in harmony with wildlife. For nearly 20 years, the dedicated staff, selfless volunteers and interns have worked tirelessly to help animals heal, rehabilitate, and eventually re-release them into their natural habitat in the Costa Rican rainforest. IIP interns will provide care and a healthy environment for these animals with the goal of rehabilitating them while also increasing community awareness about animal rights and the problems with keeping wild animals as pets. This internship is held in collaboration with World Endeavors.

The Portuguese Refugee Council (CPR) is a non-governmental organisation, non-profit, that since 1991 has as its mission to defend and promote Asylum Rights in Portugal. CPR has supported international protection seekers (spontaneous, relocated, coming from humanitarian rescues in the Mediterranean Sea or through humanitarian evacuation programs) and beneficiaries, including resettled refugees – man, women, children and unaccompanied minors from different nationalities, religious practices, ethnicities, different needs and aspirations. IIP Interns will support the staff team on different processes in the social, housing and integration departments. This placement is offered in partnership with Absolute Internship.

CRESCER believes in inclusion in the community for groups in situations of major vulnerability and exclusion, involving ourselves in several projects that have left our humanist and pragmatic mark. By reaching out to others, we promote health, harm reduction and the inclusion of people by acting within the community. IIP interns will suppport the Housing First Project team. Crisis Action works with individuals and organisations from global civil society to protect civilians from armed conflict. The main focus of the location in Johannesburg is to facilitate cooperation amongst local and international NGOs, and the South African government with the aim of lobbying and advocating support for priority campaigns in South Sudan and other emergency responses. IIP interns will work closely with the local team to support campaign activities and collaborate with the AU Liaison Office.

Cultural Arts Center provides training in ethical production, craftwork and art which benefits local trainees, boosts the local economy by improving the quality of local works, and the value they can receive when they are sold to wholesalers or in local markets. Typical crafts that are produced include baskets, textiles, weaving, soaps, carvings and jewelry. IIP interns will have the ability to work closely with the local community and artisans to create and share ideas about marketing local products and encourage sales. The Cyprus Mail is an English language newspaper, established in 1945 and is the oldest daily published in the Cyprus Republic today. It focuses primarily on local news, but also covers big international stories. IIP interns will be involved in the newsroom writing and editing stories, features, and reviews for the lifestyle and cultural sections of its Sunday Mail publication, as well as daily articles for its website. Daily NK is an online periodical founded in 2004 that delivers news from North Korea. The news articles are translated into three languages: English, Korean, and Chinese. The periodical strives to inform the world about the latest updates occurring within North Korea and to induce genuine changes within and from outside the totalitarian regime. In particular, Daily NK aims to broaden the perspectives of the young generation by strengthening the flow of information from North Korea and delivering them across a wide range of communications platforms.

The Danish Institute for Human Rights (DIHR) is an independent, state-funded human rights institution. The mandate of DIHR is to promote and protect human rights and promote equality in Denmark and abroad. The work of DIHR includes research, analysis, communications, education, documentation, as well as a large number of national and international programs. IIP interns will assist staff and management with a wide range of tasks related to research and development.

Eurofish is an international organization established to assist the development of fisheries and aquaculture in Central and Eastern Europe, focusing on post-harvest fisheries and aquaculture industries. Eurofish contributes to the development of fisheries and the aquaculture sector by publishing marketing materials and industry-related information through the publication Eurofish Magazine, the company’s website, as well as by organizing conferences, workshops and seminars. IIP interns will assist with a wide-range of tasks, including preparing market studies, writing news and feature items for Eurofish magazine, and/or contribute to website and database management.

The European Roma Rights Centre (ERRC) is an international public interest law organization combatting discrimination and human rights abuse of Roma people through strategic litigation, research and policy development, advocacy, and human rights education. The EERC provides Roma with tools to combat injustice and consults with the Council of Europe and the United Nations. IIP interns will be placed in either the legal or program departments of the ERRC.

The Exoclinic is a veterinary clinic dedicated to customer service and technical support of new pets, including birds, reptiles, and mammals. Their facilities and equipment are adapted to the provide attention, diagnosis, and treatment to birds, reptiles, rabbits, ferrets, rodents, primates, and other exotic animals. Exoclinic is a private practice 100% dedicated to exotic pet medicine and surgery. IIP interns will learn basic clinical procedures for exotic birds, reptiles, and small mammals.
