Hi! My name is Jack Goodman, and I’m from Chicago, Illinois. I’ve been drawn to creative writing for as long as I can remember, and devoted a significant amount of my time over the past four years to developing as a writer while exploring questions of memory and Jewish ethnography. I’m similarly passionate about the promotion of Holocaust memory, an area of focus that led to my appointment to the Illinois Holocaust and Genocide Commission, and was involved with Model UN, the slam poetry team, and the jazz band in high school. In my free time, you can find me playing my keyboard, hanging out with friends, listening to music, walking through the city, or re-watching old Bo Burnham specials. I genuinely can’t wait to immerse myself in the culture and language of Bolivia; the opportunity to experience another way of being from such a close angle is one I eagerly anticipate!
