Given the global health and safety risks and continuing uncertainty around travel posed by the ongoing spread of COVID-19, the Office of International Programs is suspending undergraduate participation for all OIP programs abroad this fall. This includes the cancellation of the 2020-21 Novogratz Bridge Year Program and the suspension of fall 2020 study abroad.
This decision, which was made in close collaboration with the University’s Global Safety and Security Unit and in consultation with our valued off-campus partners, is based on a number of important factors. These include health and safety concerns, evolving travel restrictions, and a lack of clarity surrounding logistical, immigration, and security matters.
We believe strongly in the educational, professional, and personal value of each of our programs. The Office of International Programs is committed to offering meaningful international experiences. We look forward to working with Princeton students to plan for these opportunities in the future. We will continue to closely monitor the international landscape and hope conditions will allow some of our programs to resume in spring 2021.
Our office is open, albeit virtually, and students with questions should reach out to their OIP advisers directly.
