Critical Language Scholarship Essay Workshop

Event Description

The Critical Language Scholarship (CLS) program is an eight-week summer language and culture program for U.S. citizens of ALL class years. Apply to study one of the following languages: Arabic, Chinese, Hindi, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, Persian, Portuguese, Russian, Swahili, Turkish, or Urdu. Prerequisites vary by language; consult the CLS website for more information. During this workshop, participants will review strategies for crafting effective CLS essays. 

Prior to the workshop, students should review the CLS Workshop Checklist and complete the appropriate steps.

Bonus: Dr. Myers will review your revised essays after the workshop if you (a) register in the CLS portal, making sure to select Princeton University and the language program you intend to apply for; (b) attend the October 30 workshop; and (c) send your revised essays to Dr. Myers by 12:00 pm ET Wednesday, November 6.
